This policy describes the practices of the website only. It does not describe the handling of confidential client information that is protected through an attorney-client relationship, which is governed by a separate engagement agreement and applicable professional obligations.

Contact form. Your name, email address, and message.

Consultation intake. When you request a consultation, we collect your name, telephone number, email address, county, practice area, the opposing party’s name (optional), whether children are involved and the number of children, the status of any current court case, the urgency of your matter, a written summary of your circumstances, and your preferred consultation method (video, telephone, or in-person).

Information Collected Automatically

Language preference. The website stores your selected language (English or Spanish) in your browser’s local storage so the site can display in that language. This value is stored on your own device and is not transmitted to us as personal information.

The website does not automatically collect IP addresses, browser type, device information, or similar technical data from visitors.

Information you submit through the consultation intake may describe a legal matter. We use this information to evaluate a potential representation, to consider whether a conflict of interest exists, and to schedule a consultation.

Because no attorney-client relationship is formed by submitting a form (see Section 4), information submitted before representation is established is not protected by attorney-client privilege.

Information from prospective clients — including those who do not ultimately retain the firm — is retained for conflict-check purposes.

Contacting Heralia Legal through the website, submitting a form, requesting information, or sending an email does not, by itself, establish an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only when Heralia Legal agrees to undertake the representation and the firm’s applicable engagement requirements are completed, including a signed engagement agreement.

Until that relationship is established, information you submit is not privileged or confidential as attorney-client communications.

Please do not submit highly sensitive or confidential information through the general website contact form unless Heralia Legal has instructed you to do so. If your matter requires the sharing of sensitive information, that is more appropriately handled after an attorney-client relationship is established.

Heralia Legal does not use information submitted through the website for marketing or promotional outreach.

The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The only local storage the website sets in your browser is your language preference (see Section 2), which you may clear at any time through your browser settings.

The public website does not require you to log in, and the website’s own code does not set cookies beyond the local storage described above.

The website does not currently use web-analytics services such as Google Analytics, or similar tools that measure or track visitor behavior.

The website does not currently use advertising tags, conversion pixels, remarketing tags, or behavioral-tracking technologies from Google, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok, or any other advertising provider.

To operate the website and process submissions, information you submit may be handled by the following:

• Base44 — the platform that hosts the website, stores consultation intake records, and processes form submissions.
• Google Calendar — used to place a tentative consultation hold on the firm’s calendar; the calendar event may include your name and a description of your intake information.
• Email delivery — the platform’s email service is used to deliver your contact message or consultation notice to the firm.
• Clio — the firm’s practice-management software, in which submitted information may be stored for conflict-check and matter-handling purposes.

The website also loads display fonts from Google Fonts and displays images hosted on the website’s media infrastructure.

This policy does not represent that any of these providers is contractually bound to confidentiality, as the firm has not confirmed such terms.

Heralia Legal P.C. does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under applicable privacy laws, including the CCPA/CPRA.

Heralia Legal handles submitted information with care and discretion. We have not made specific representations about the technical security measures applied to website information, because those measures have not been independently verified for this policy.

Information submitted through the website may be managed through Clio, the firm’s practice-management software.

Information submitted through the website is retained for conflict-check purposes and is stored in Clio, the firm’s practice-management system.

The website contains links to external resources, including court and government resources on its Resources pages. Heralia Legal does not control and is not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites. Linking to an external resource does not mean that Heralia Legal controls that resource’s privacy practices.

Separately, the website loads fonts from Google Fonts and images from the website’s media hosting. These are resources loaded to display the page and are distinct from the processors described in Section 10.

The website does not process payments and does not collect payment or billing information.

Through the website, you can send a message to the firm (contact form) or request a consultation. The website sends email on your behalf to deliver your message or consultation request to the firm. The website itself does not send SMS (text) messages and does not include marketing-email sign-up or consent features.

Heralia Legal does not send SMS (text) messages to submitted telephone numbers and does not send promotional or marketing emails.

The website is intended for adults seeking legal services and is not directed to children as an audience. However, because Heralia Legal practices family law, information submitted through the consultation intake may include information about children — for example, the number of children and details included in a summary — where relevant to a family-law matter.

Such information is submitted by an adult and is handled as part of that legal inquiry, not as a collection directed at children.

Heralia Legal P.C. operates in New Mexico, and the practices described in this policy are governed by applicable New Mexico and federal law. New Mexico does not provide a general consumer-privacy statute comparable to the CCPA/CPRA, so this policy does not represent that you possess specific statutory consumer-privacy rights.
